Week 6 Practical
LECTURE
Week 6: In this lecture, we studied about Poster Design which emphasized on seven core principles essential for creating impactful and visually engaging compositions such as :
- Emphasis - It highlights key elements to direct the focus.
- Balance and Alignment - It arranges elements in harmony for visual stability.
- Contrast - It adds interest by differentiating colors, fonts, or shapes.
- Repetition - It unifies the design through repeated colors, fonts, or shapes.
- Proportion - It balances the visual weight of elements for a cohesive look.
- Movement - It helps communicate information effectively.
- White Space - It uses empty space to reduce clutter and improve readability.
Each principle enhances the poster’s cohesiveness and appeal, with designers occasionally breaking these rules to create unique visuals.

Week 6: This part of the project challenged us to carefully use different tools from Photoshop to add colors to different parts of the black and white image. It not only strengthened my technical skills in Photoshop but also helped me develop a deeper understanding of how color works in digital design. It also pushed me to think creatively about how to apply colors in a way that felt realistic and enhanced the overall composition. At first it seemed challenging and difficult but as i started exploring, it got me more curious to explore further. The experience boosted my confidence in using Photoshop for detailed color work .
