Week 9 Practical
LECTURE
Week 9: In this week's lecture we learned about digital surrealism, which is a modern artistic style of blending surrealism with digital tools. It is influenced by Freud and artists like Salvador Dalí, surrealism often uses illogical juxtapositions and symbolic imagery. In the digital age, tools like Photoshop make creating surrealist art more accessible, starting with sketching ideas, finding reference images, and ensuring the final work looks convincingly real while being imaginative. The key is to embrace creativity, learning from challenges, and pushing artistic boundaries.
PRACTICAL
Week 9
This week, we received approval for our sketches and initial concept for the poster. Following that, we began working on the digital version of the poster, starting with taking photographs of the clock and the background, further exploring it while editing and progressing to the creation of the final poster, based on the approved sketched idea.
Sketch Works
Progress Work
This week was both creatively exciting and technically challenging as we worked with photo editing along with illustrative elements, and finally merging them seamlessly and aesthetically to create a visually appealing final poster. The process required numerous sketches, trials, and attempts, as I experimented with different approaches to achieve the desired outcome. Using my own photography as a base made the experience even more enjoyable, as it provided an opportunity to explore various contrasts and effects. Playing with different visual styles allowed me to push creative boundaries and refine the overall composition.
