Assignment 4
TASK 4
Webcomic
In this assignment, we were asked to create an animated webcomic cover and a one-page comic inspired by W.W. Jacobs' The Monkey’s Paw. The project included designing the illustration using Adobe Illustrator and add comic transition techniques. To further enhance visuals we used Photoshop for textures and surreal effects. The comic cover included subtle animations to establish an eerie mood, while the one-page comic focused on storytelling, composition, and animation to capture the atmosphere of the story.

REFLECTION
This assignment was an exciting chance to combine storytelling, design, and animation to create a spooky and engaging webcomic. Designing the elements in Adobe Illustrator helped me focus on creating a strong visual identity, while using Photoshop to add textures allowed me to experiment with creative visuals. Turning a part of the story into a one-page comic taught me how to use transition to keep the story clear and suspenseful. Animating the panels in the given time frame helped me learn how to use movement to enhance the mood without distracting from the story. However, I faced challenges with the approval of my work and also with keeping the animations subtle and smooth while still maintaining the atmosphere of the story.I personally struggled alot in the initial stage of brainstorming as a was having difficulties coping up with the assignment but within a week i was on track. Creating the transitions between panels required a lot of trial and error. Despite the challenges, this project taught me how to blend art and digital tools to create a classic story in a modern way. It was a fun and rewarding learning experience that gave me valuable skills for future creative projects.
