REFLECTION
Working on this character design assignment was a really interesting process and even taught me many things about creativity and storytelling. At first, I thought creating a character was just about looks and aesthetics, but through this project, I learned that a strong character needs depth, meaning and a clear background story to look accordingly. This made me understand that character design is not only about drawing but also about thinking about who the character is. During this process, I explored different sketches, poses and details which helped me think about the character’s personality, background, emotions and motivations. This helped me improve my storytelling skills and allowed me to design a character that feels both real and believable. Each step of the development, from rough sketches to refined drawings, showed me how the character improved in each step.
Also weekly feedbacks helped me alot as the tutor's advice guided me on improvements and process. Overall, this assignment helped me grow in both creativity and technical understanding about characters and storytelling.
