INSTRUCTIONS
TASK
In this project, we were asked to texturize the existing character using
Adobe 3d substance and later present it using marmoset toolbag. We had to

REFLECTION
In this project, we texturized our existing character using new software Adobe 3D Substance and then present the final output using another new software Marmoset Toolbag. This helped me understand the complete workflow of finishing and presenting a game-ready character along with getting introduced to new softwares. One of the main things I learned was how to apply textures properly using Adobe 3D Substance. This was the fun part of the module as i could see the character look and feel different with different texture maps applied. I learned how to work with smart materials, adjust texture values and add surface details to make the character look more realistic. This helped me understand how textures play an important role in giving life and personality to a character. Presenting the character in Marmoset Toolbag also taught me about lighting, camera angles and rendering, which helped improve the overall visual quality of my work. This process took time but was fun to work with. Another important learning was how to present my work professionally. Creating a full character turnaround with music made me think about storytelling and presentation. Compiling all stages of progress helped me see how much the character had improved from the first task to the final result and this makes me quite impressed. However, I also faced a few challenges during this project as learning new softwares was difficult at first because of the many tools and settings. It took time to understand how layers, masks and texture channels work. Adjusting the textures so they looked consistent on the entire character and setting up proper lighting without making the character look too dark or too bright was also challenging. Overall, this project helped me improve both my technical skills and my confidence. I learned how to texture and present a character in a professional way and also learned the importance of patience, problem solving and attention to detail.
