PROGRESS WORK

This was the final group project for which we were given a book on "How to become a straight A student". We had to transfer important informations from this into an engaging motion graphic. We were asked to use the help of AI for mind map, understanding, summarising and detail script writing. Next we came up with design direction and basic summary before dividing the work within individual group members. Next we divided our group for different parts and came up with moodpboard and visual assets individually using Illustration and Procreate. After all the individual assets and storyboard connected to each other we started working on Animation of each steps individually. Finally we imported all different parts, organised it together in After Effect and Synchronised the VoiceOver for final polished video.

REFLECTION

For the final group project, we transfered important information from the given been to an animated infographic which is engaging and easy to understand with visual elements and summarised details. Through this project, I learned how to turn written information into a creative and visual story. 

At the beginning, we used AI tools to help us create a mind map, understand the content, summarise important points and develop script idea which helped us organise our ideas and pre planning process easier and faster. Each of us worked on different parts of the animation  by creating mood boards and visual assets using Illustration and Procreate. This process helped me improve my creativity and design skills. After a lot of trial and errors we finally went on animating the video. This was really time consuming as all of us had to work on same design idea and all our assets had to be aligned to each other so that the final compilation doesn't look ugly and unorganised. The final stage was the easiest part where we added VoiceOver and compiled everything together. This assignment had a few challenges too as this was really time consuming due to final week, alot of other assignments were also due along with this. Also matching the speed, visual art direction and overall theme with each group members required a lot of trial and errors. Making the final animation smooth was really difficult but through teamwork, feedbacks and communication, we were able to overcome all challenges. This assignment helped me improve my design thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, time management and team management skills. This also helped me improve my technical skills in After Effect and Illustration and also using AI to help make work easy but also adding personal ideas and style to it and not completely relying on AI.
